Stationary VR Object Types

How to add stationary Object types to the 3D window.

Stationary Object types

Object models must be added to the VRObject Type folder (In the Sheets control bar,  active 3D window sub-folder) before they can be added to the view. For more information on adding Object Types see here.

Before placing an object in the world view, review the object properties by double-clicking the object's name under the Object Type folder. The object Name and Model file are displayed, along with other object properties.

note.gif (1017 bytes) An object'stypeis not the same as an individualobject. An object type is a category of object that contains the global settings for all instances of that object type in the3Dworld. It is possible to set individual properties for an object, but the settings permitted for types and objects are different.

Changing an Object Type's Properties

Examples of object type settings:

  • If you wish to increase or decrease the size of the object, edit the Scale. A scale of '2' will double the size of the object.

  • If the object should remain upright when placed on a surface, check the Force upright option.

  • The other object properties (Sound, Lights, Viewpoint Offset and Movement) are optional.
